Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Next, you will complete a thorough nutritional evaluation to assess your body system related symptoms. This evaluation will allow our nutrition professionals to better understand your current health and how it is affecting your daily life. Please be prepared to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and history with us. It is during this valuable time that we learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to gain the necessary knowledge in determining how we can meet your needs.
During this first visit, Dr. Terry Rondberg will perform a brief examination to evaluate your level of interference in the muscles at the base of your scull, also know as the suboccipital area. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests may be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
Comprehensive NeuroHealth Assessment
First a 15-minute cognitive test will quantify brain function in several critical areas- attention, memory, executive function, and cognitive flexibility. Second is a patient-administered blood spot test that provides us with nutritional fatty acid biomarkers. Fatty acids are crucial components of neural membranes and receptors that ensure proper communication between the brain and nervous system. By knowing your fatty acid levels, we can establish an optimal balance using nutritional intervention.
Report of Findings
Once all information is collected and examinations are performed you will be scheduled for a follow up visit, your Report of Findings (usually within 7 days). This allows time for your lab results to be received by our office. We will review your health history, goals, and results from your first appointment. Dr. Terry Rondberg and Ruth Rondberg will provide a detailed report of all findings.
Your Wellness Care Plan
Lastly, recommendations for care will be made and along with your input a program will be established. Every person is unique, therefore everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve optimal brain health, restore your bodies balance, maintain a healthy diet, incorporate exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
